Albums
Otero Canyon
Several trails in the Otero Canyon trail system are shown: Blue Ribbon, the main trail down the canyon, and an unnamed trail near Mars Court

Adirondacks
Two day trip to the Adirondacks with Tom, Dave, and Jim.

White Mesa
This is simply a very cool place to ride or walk. The ground is composed of gypsum which creates at times hollow ground, great colors, and interesting surfaces. A great place to ride even if it is short (9 mile loop).

Tunnel Canyon
A short connector trail over to the Otero canyon trail area. The trail has a few technical challenges captured here. A side trail up the middle ridge is steep and technical but dead-ends into the Kirtland military reservation.

Cedro Peak Trail
The Cedro Peak area includes many trails totaling over 100 miles. The Cedro Peak trail climbs around the north side of Cedro Peak. Photos include a side trip up a narrow valley.

Placitas
Open space with some good trails - including a steep and rocky descent. Just north of Albuquerque

Chamisoso
The Chamisoso trail itself is short and gentle - except for the top. It junctions with the Mighty Mule and other trails in the Cedro Peak area.

Magdalenas
Steep and rocky - need to explore more.

Foothill Trails
Brief tour of Albuquerque's foothill trail system - south to north

Jemez - Soaring Daff
One of Tom's trails in the Jemez Mtns. This trail is mostly on Cebolitta Mesa near La Cueva, NM.

Jemez - Roadrunner
Really nice ride on Cebolitta and Virgin Mesas in the Jemez mountains. Altitude between 8,000 and 8,500 ft.

Jemez - Alamos Trail
A beautiful 38 mile loop up Cochiti Canyon with a long climb up Cochiti Mesa. Some great views, tough single track, and a rough descent down a trail shared with motorbikes (read as loose). Views are great - even visited on old friend along the way!

Jemez - Valles Calde
Annual ride into the Valles Caldera (Valle Grande). Lots of dirt roads but great vistas and wildlife. This is a working ranch now owned by the National Forest Service. It is normally closed but opens for cross country skiing in the winter and special events like this ride. The caldera itself is 12-15 miles across and is easily seen on satellite photos. The pictures don't do it justice.

Long Gooser
Epic ride of the year. Route is from the cabin in TSV to Red River and back via Long Canyon Trail, Goose Creek Trail, Goose Lake Rd, Gold Hill Trail, and Bull-O-The-Woods trail. 24 miles and over 4,000 ft. of climbing. There are no photos of the return as we experienced rain and hail. Great ride - very tough.

Lost Lake
Beautiful ride with the perfect singletrack climb and a fast descent - not to mention a nice spot for lunch at Lost Lake.

Crested Butte - Pearl Pass Tour
Five day trip to Crested Butte where we participated in the 30th annual Pearl Pass Tour. The tour commerates one of the first "mountain bike" trips taken by locals from Crested Butte over Pearl Pass to Aspen on old single speed clunkers. Although our tour was modified due to weather - the riding and camaraderie in Crested Butte was wonderful!

Las Vegas Area
Bootleg Canyon where I took no photos during the ride - and Cottonwood Canyon on a cool morning where I took lots - both great places to ride - Bootleg Canyon for a technical thrill and Cottonwood mostly for the vistas.

Sugarloaf - Yuma
3 days of riding while on a business trip to Yuma, Az. Fun bunch of trails - I rode 44 miles total - some fast, some loose. Hot, dry, full of cactus as you can see from the photos

Pearl Pass Tour - 2007
Ride from Crested Butte to Aspen and back (2 days - ~80 miles - 9,000+ elevation gain)

South Boundary - 2008
The day after climbing Lake Fork - what do you know, a ride on the SBT - what a kick!

Sedona
Quick morning ride in Oak Canyon, Sedona, AZ - classic. Mostly a freeway of a trail - but the side trails were nice and you can't beat the views.

White Mesa - revisited
Saturday ride with Ken and a Wednesday evening ride with Ken, Casey, and two of Ken's colleagues from work. the sequence of Aaron at the drop is big - you might have to change browser setting to see full resolution.
